Scholarship Description:

The MSU Office of overseas Programs is proud to offer merit-based scholarships to qualified overseas undergraduate students who have been accepted to Montana State University. These scholarships are awarded purely on the basis of the candidates’ grade point average. The monies allocated can only be used for MSU tuition and cannot be given to students who have been conditionally admitted to INTERLINK International Institute’s Intensive English classes.

Scholarship Benefits:

Annual awards vary from $5,000 to $12,000 USD.

The scholarship can be renewed each year as long as the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, is enrolled full-time, and is a non-resident student.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria:

International students at MSU are immediately evaluated for scholarships based on their grade point average (GPA) from high school or college coursework after submitting their application. Scholarships are available to students who have received full admission to MSU and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Denys Holland Scholarship at University College UK

The Denys Holland Scholarship is intended to assist undergraduate students from any country who, without the scholarship, would be unable to secure the necessary funding to study at UCL and who can demonstrate their intention to participate fully in the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.

The scholarship is offered on the basis of financial necessity, with applicants indicating their plan to participate fully in UCL and Students Union extracurricular activities.

The scholarship is worth £9,000 per year for three years if academic achievement is good, and scholars may use all or part of the grant to cover expenses. Any remaining funds are given to the scholar as a maintenance reward.

Chevening Award Scholarships UK

Chevening is the UK Government’s international awards program that aims to produce global leaders. Chevening, which is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations, offers two types of awards: Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships, the beneficiaries of which are chosen personally by British embassies and high commissions around the world.

To be eligible for a Chevening Award, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Chevening-eligible country’s citizen.
  • Return to your home nation for at least two years once your award has expired.
  • Have an undergraduate degree that allows you to enroll in a postgraduate study at a UK university.
  • In the United Kingdom, this is often equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree.
  • Have at least two years of work experience (for fellowship programs, this can be up to five years; please see your country page for more information).
  • Apply to three distinct UK university courses and gain an unconditional offer from one of them.
  • Fulfill the English language requirement for Chevening.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship UK

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated US$210 million to the University of Cambridge in October 2000, establishing the Gates Cambridge Scholarship program. Scholarships are given to outstanding students from countries other than the United Kingdom to study a full-time postgraduate degree in any field at the University of Cambridge. The following are the selection criteria:

  • outstanding intellectual ability
  • leadership potential
  • a commitment to improving the lives of others
  • a good fit between the applicant’s qualifications and aspirations and the postgraduate programme at Cambridge for which they are applying
